School Council

The school has an active school council which meets weekly. There are representatives from each class on the school council.

Class councillors are elected each year through a class voting system.

There is a chair, secretary, publicity officer and treasurer.

Each class has weekly class council meetings and the minutes from these are discussed at school council meetings.

The school council raise funds for equipment through holding activity fun afternoons, Phil The Bag collections and cake and bun sales. They also decide which charities we will support and how we will raise money for the charity. For example they supported the Waveney Food Bank through the harvest festival, supported Red Nose day by organising a non uniform day.

The school council are currently working with the Governors, the staff and the PTA to develop the school grounds.

They gather the opinion of the school when deciding what activities to run, what equipment is needed for playtimes etc.

We aim to provide a broad, balanced topic based curriculum supported by a range of trips, visits and visitors to enhance the experiences our children have here.

We have developed a supportive atmosphere with a family feel, where all children are encouraged to achieve the best they can within their capabilities.
