Parents are encouraged to become involved in school life in a variety of ways.
Children have a home/school reading record which comes home each day and can be used to record any relevant information for each day.
Parents help out with different in school activities such as hearing children read, helping with activity afternoons, supporting events such as Christmas concerts, harvest festivals etc.
There is a thriving Friends of Ilketshall group who organise events for children and parents and raise funds for the school. Please see their information page.
In Autumn and Spring terms there are pupil progress meetings with the class teachers. Parents can see their children’s work and speak with teachers to assess progress and set targets for their next steps of learning. Written reports are sent home each Summer Term.
Teachers are available to meet parents as needed by making an appointment through the school office. Short messages can be discussed before or after school.
