How can you get involved

To stage events the “Friends” rely on a large number of volunteers.

Some examples of how you could volunteer/help include:

  • Manning a stall at the Fete
  • Making cakes/buns for events
  • Helping to set up
  • Helping tidy away at the end
  • Cooking sausages for the disco
  • Selling raffle tickets
  • Come along to committee meetings and coffee mornings

We are very grateful to those who regularly help but we always welcome new volunteers.

There are lots of ways you can help support your child through the Friends of the school. It doesn’t matter if you can not help on a regular basis, or even if you can not come into school. There are always jobs that can be done from home if you have half an hour to spare, e.g. wrapping gifts, preparing raffle tickets etc. We really couldn’t achieve what we do with out the behind the scenes help we receive.

You can also help by letting us know if you have any contacts or skills we could use, everything is potentially valuable to us. For example do you know a good children’s entertainer or DJ? Are you involved with any organisations that could help us with a new type of event? Can you get raffle prizes from your employer, or do you know someone willing to donate raffle prizes?

There is a brief form at the end to fill in and return to us if you are able to help in any way no matter how small. Please don’t forget to include an email address and phone number.

If you would like to become more involved please come along to a meeting and give us your ideas for fundraising events. This is also the time to ask questions or voice your opinion.

Vision & Values
We aim to provide a broad, balanced topic based curriculum supported by a range of trips, visits and visitors to enhance the experiences our children have here.

We have developed a supportive atmosphere with a family feel, where all children are encouraged to achieve the best they can within their capabilities.
